Find x and y intercepts of Circles - Calculator

SEARCH THIS SITE

Google

This calculator calculates the x and y intercepts of the graph of a circle given its center and radius. This calculator uses the standard equation of the circle that has the form:

(x - h) 2 + (y - k) 2 = r 2

To find the x intercepts, set y = 0 in the above equation and solve for x. To find the y intercepts, set x = 0 and solve for y.

How to use the calculator 1 - Enter the values of h, k and r where h and k are the x and y coordinates of the center of the circle; r is the radius of the circle and press "enter". If the graph of the circle has no intercept "none" is displayed.
