Trigonometric Ratios In a Right Triangle Calculator
An online calculator to calculate trigonometric ratios in a right triangle is presented. Activities involving some fundamenatl trigonometric ratios are also included.
How to use the calculator
1 - Enter the two sides \( a \) and \( b \) that make the right angle as positive real number and the number of decimal places desired then press "Enter". Side \( C \) is calculated and the 6 trigonometric ratios defined in trigonometry.

Activities
Use the values of the six trigonometric ratios above and your own calculator to verify the following identities
\( \sin^2(A) + \cos^2(A) = 1 \)
\( \tan(A) = \dfrac{\sin(A)}{\cos(A)} \)
\( \cot(A) = \dfrac{1}{\tan(A)} \)
\( \sec(A) = \dfrac{1}{\cos(A)} \)
\( \csc(A) = \dfrac{1}{\sin(A)} \)
\( \tan^2(A) + 1 = \sec^2(A) \)
\( \cot^2(A) + 1 = \csc^2(A) \)
