Understanding Mixed Numbers
A mixed number combines a whole number with a fraction. In this visualization:
- The whole number represents complete circles.
- The numerator (top number of the fraction) shows how many parts of the fractional circle we're considering.
- The denominator (bottom number the fraction) shows how many equal parts the fractional circle is divided into.
- The blue sections represent the whole parts and fractional part.
Note: Denominator cannot be zero, and negative numbers are not supported.
