Graphs of Functions - Questions

Graphs questions: Given the equation of a function, identify a possible graph (among 4) corresponding to the given function. Algebraic functions including linear, square root, quadratic and absolute value functions are considered. Use all properties of the graphs of functions such as range, domain,x intercepts, y intercepts, horizontal shift, vertical shift, compression and stretching to solve the suggested problems. If needed, Free graph paper is available.

You may want to work through a tutorial on identifying graphs of functionsbefore taking this self test.

You have the possibility of solving 10 questions on this page or use the applet below and you can select 10 questions randomly from 50. These questions on graphs may be used as a self test.

Graph the function given before you answer your question. The test has a set of 10 questions selected randomly from 50 questions. You can review your answers and change them. You can also compare your answers to the right answers.
