This online calculator uses the rules of partial fractions decomposition to write complex rational functions as a sum of simpler fractions.
Use of the Fractions Decomposition Calculator
- Enter and edit the expression to decompose and click "Enter Expression" to verify what you have entered.
- The four operators used are:
+(plus),/(divide),-(minus),^(power), and*(multiplication). Example:(4x^2-x+8) / ((x-2)*(x^2+2x+3)). - Click "Decompose" to obtain the expanded and simplified expression.
Note that the * sign is needed when multiplying expressions.
